This article talked about how humans are destroying the oceans by polluting them and killing many species that live in the sea! It makes me think about how when you see a picture of a place that had a lot a trees a long time ago but then you look at the place now and you think wow… what have they done? Water is glorious and a lot of incredible creatures live in the ocean but why would we want to kill these precious creatures? We might hate some animals like sharks or jellyfish because they harm people, but still they’re glorious animals and we should learn more about our own animals that live on earth! Everyday people do things to harm the ocean even if they may not know it which is no help at all either. It’s really sad that animals are dieing and our oceans are getting dirty. It almost seems as if we don’t care at all for earth and the way that the earth is being converted to. I’m not trying to be negative or anything but things are just going to get worst! We will end up destroying our own earth! That’s why now a days there are more natural disasters in places we didn’t imagine and that is because of our own species!

You’re right, we should become more aware of environments like the ocean or the forest because they are changing drastically. We should learn about our Earth because we have no other place to live and I’m not the only one who wants to live on a planet with no life and all of our resources gone.

I wish we lived in a world where humans cared for and protect the world from hazardous activity. It really does pain me to see what we’ve done as people who live in this world. No one seems to care anymore, people keep on building and clear cutting our forests and now this. The ocean is important to us, I mean water makes up over 50% of earth. Why place our oceans at risk? There should be laws to protect the wild including the seas. In fact I might just write a letter to Obama. Nice blog :)

It’s not so much that we hate the ocean or that we hate the animals that live there, it’s that we are just so inconciderate that we don’t give a hoot about what we do to it, or we don’t think of the consequences. We have to be more careful and moer thoughtful about the creatures that even hep us survive although we may not even know it.

I agree with what you guys think. I also believe that our country has made big steps in the fight against global warming. There’s Earth day (which wasn’t that long ago), and groups out there that help make our environment out there less polluted, and rid of any hazardous threats. The rate of the melting of the ice in the N. and S. poles is rising, and unless we all want to live underwater, we need to be more cautious about what we do on this planet. Nice blog!

I agree with alot of the comments. I do think people just do not think about what their laziness is doing to the oceans. While over the summer we will probably see many people out on their boats having a great time on the ocean and not caring that they are throwing their trash in the ocean. Thinking it is not a big deal and not even realizing what it does to the oceans animals. It is sad and I do wish more people would think more about their enviornment then themselves.

The other day when I was in the car with my mom on the freeway and some workers were cutting down a bunch of trees so that the road could later be widened. It really made me think “The rapidly growing population is seriously affecting the environment. People need to cut back on harming the environment and cut back on having kids.”
