This article was about how playing games helps children be more clever. I think this is true because games help you think and get your mind going and at the same time you’re having fun while playing the game. There are many types of games and even if there just for fun and have no educational meaning to them. The games help because you still have to use your brain to play the game! Everybody loves games and I think people would learn easier if everything was taught by games, which would be really fun!!! Teachers should try it one day to see if students learned better by playing games or if they learned better by the regular way they teach in school!

This article was about what would happen if we ate everything they advertised on television. I think we already eat what’s advertised on television but we don’t eat EVERY SINGLE thing. If we did do that I think that we would be as fat as earth itself we would be huge, no we won’t even get to reach that size because we would all die early because we would be so fat! They don’t just advertise fatting food on television they advertise diet to and how to lose weight plans but most of them aren’t diet commercials there fast food commercials; ESPECIALLY McDonalds! For some commercials they put pretty girls or cute guys to “sell” the product, and amazingly it works, which I think is so funny! Just follow the saying “you are what you eat”! Don’t fall into the tricks of commercials or you will regret falling unconditionally in love with food!

Okay so this article was about how scientist built a straw house at a college; to test the theory a kids’ fairytales that a straw house can be knocked down by wind. The theory was wrong a straw house can in fact sustain the wind and not be knocked down. I think that this is SO cool! I thought this was impossible when I never knew that straw can be so strong. This reminds me of the experiment that I learned in 8^th grade, it’s how one dollar bill can hold a glass cup. I guess things can be possible as long as people find away to make it possible! I wonder if they can use straw houses in places where there are a lot of hurricanes?!This blog is short but there is not much to talk about I just think this is really cool and they can protect a lot of people with this new discovery!

This article talked about how the internet has shown scientifically that it can make people happier and feel better about themselves. I think this really interesting I agree with this too when I clicked on the page of news I saw this heading and it made me smile and I laughed a little. This is SO true because my friends and most teen population uses the internet to relax and just makes them happy. My parents do the same too. Whether what they do on the internet if it’s good or bad it still makes them happy. So many people use the internet as a cause of stress, problems, addictions, work, and many more reasons. One thing is for sure though it does manage to take your mind off things. I thought this to be funny a little because it’s true with me too, my best friend is the internet! How about you?!!

So this article was about how in California they are trying too get rid of video game violence. I think that video games are bad for certain people it depends how a person reacts to them. I understand that some kids get excited and that violence and bad things stay in their minds, and they try to do what they see. Some videos games are harmful and are good but others are just a waste of time to me but to other kids the games are fun and they give them adrenalin and get them excited. I think it’s important for kids to do something else then just watch TV, play video games, and spend 24 hours on the computer. Who ever invented video games that are bad then it’s actually their fault because they invented them. Just make sure that, you guys who play video games 24-7 don’t spend so much playing those games because they don’t do you any good.

This article was about how gymnast Dong Fangxiano was stripped from her medal she won in the Olympics. They took away the medal because she wasn’t 16 she was really 14! I think this is really brave of her. I would never ever in a million years have the guts to do what she did! I agree with taking her out of the Olympics for this because she could get seriously injured and that would be worse. I think they should have let her keep the medal though because she was brave and actually won a medal which is really hard to do! This also should teach us two lessons. The first lesson is that you can do anything that you want to and nobody can tell you otherwise. Second lesson is to not lie about your age because it can get you into more trouble. I think this is really amazing and I feel bad for her but she shouldn’t have said she was 16 in the first place but I think she was trying to prove that anybody can do great things if you put your mind to it and not caring your size, race, culture, and AGE! Would you do this if you were her??!!!

This article talked about how humans are destroying the oceans by polluting them and killing many species that live in the sea! It makes me think about how when you see a picture of a place that had a lot a trees a long time ago but then you look at the place now and you think wow… what have they done? Water is glorious and a lot of incredible creatures live in the ocean but why would we want to kill these precious creatures? We might hate some animals like sharks or jellyfish because they harm people, but still they’re glorious animals and we should learn more about our own animals that live on earth! Everyday people do things to harm the ocean even if they may not know it which is no help at all either. It’s really sad that animals are dieing and our oceans are getting dirty. It almost seems as if we don’t care at all for earth and the way that the earth is being converted to. I’m not trying to be negative or anything but things are just going to get worst! We will end up destroying our own earth! That’s why now a days there are more natural disasters in places we didn’t imagine and that is because of our own species!

This article was about how rape in becoming normal in the Congo. I think this is surprisingly weird! How is it normal to get raped? The world is becoming a strange place where things that aren’t right are becoming right and things that are right aren’t becoming right?! Rape is not something that is funny or fun to do! It’s having sex but somebody is making you do it! I don’t think a girl would like that very much! This just got me a little mad because why do the say this is normal in the Congo?! What’s next? Is rape going to become normal all over the world?! People should just get married if they are sexually active?! Instead of hurting other people and hurting them emotionally! What has the world come to?! Do you think rape is “NORMAL”?!

This article was about how some women don’t know when their pregnant. I think this is amazing and really surprising I would be scared out of my mind if a doctor told me this. There is a show on this concept and it’s really interesting to see how these women were capable of not knowing they were pregnant. This is scary especially if they aren’t ready to have a child and have the responsibility of taking care of it. This is so amazing I just can’t help to think that this is possible I mean doesn’t a baby kick or move inside the stomach? Well, now I know it’s possible and everything that we may think is impossible it may be possible. Our body is amazing and scientists still have much to discover. What would you do if you didn’t know you were pregnant? Not referring to boys!

This article talked about how so many women are dieing when there giving birth to their babies. I think this is really sad but sadly we can’t do anything from stopping it in that moment. It’s really hard for some children to believe that their mother died when giving them birth. It’s really sad and it brings me down that this happens. I think that foster kids might understand this situation because they don’t have their parents either, and the people who don’t have their mom or dad. Sometimes kids and teens who have both of their parents take for granted the fact that what if one day one of their parents die, we can never predict when someone will die, so that’s why we have to show the people who are in our lives that we love them, especially parents, even if sometimes they might be annoying or they tell us what to do but in the future what parents tell you will help us in our lives. Mothers are the nurturing parent and the one who is gentle and caring, but with mom out of the picture those qualities won’t exist unless the father has them. My point is to always respect your mom and dad even if their wrong, when most of the time their the ones that are right. Sadly they are.
